Camping in the 21st century is taking on a new dimension through integration with smart city technologies.
Matija Mandić from KING ICT delivered a presentation on this topic during the international professional and scientific conference “YOUR GREEN VACATION: Smart and Green Camps for a Sustainable Future of Tourism”. The lecture explored how the smart city concept – based on sustainability, safety, digital connectivity, and efficient resource management – can enhance the camping experience.
Matija presented examples of green camps connected to urban infrastructure, utilizing various IoT technologies, smart energy grids, waste management systems, and digital solutions for visitor safety and comfort .
The aim was to show how the combination of technology and ecology can enable sustainable, smart vacations that respect nature while keeping pace with the rhythm of modern society.
